Daniel Dookie, a native of Marabella, currently serves as the Assistant General Secretary of the People’s National Movement. He previously served in that capacity from 2011 before having to step into the Office of General Secretary upon the resignation of Ashton Ford in February 2017.

Mr. Dookie joined the PNM in 1998, and has served at all levels of the party, from Constituency Executive to General Council and Central Executive; he contested the Point a Pierre seat in the 2002 General Election; he is a former Alderman at the San Fernando City Corporation; he is a former constituency coordinator, and he has acted as Campaign Manager for candidates in both Local and General Elections. He currently serves as a Government Senator in the 11th Republican Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago. 

Daniel Dookie, a devout Pentecost, is married and is the father of 2 children. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma and an MBA in Management. He is an Insurance Sales Manager, with specialist skills in sales and Marketing. A true Trinbagonian, Mr. Dookie loves food, sports, and calypso. He is purpose-driven, with a passion for helping people and organizations achieve their fullest potential.
